1993 Koenig Specials Ferrari F48
Presenting one of only three right-hand drive Koenig Specials Ferrari F48s, now available in Singapore—a true automotive gem and a rare piece of 1990s tuning culture. The Koenig Specials F48 is an exceptionally rare, bespoke build by renowned Ferrari tuner Willy Koenig, similar to what many restomod companies do today. However, this car goes beyond the standard F48 conversion, making it an even rarer find.
This particular Koenig Specials F48 is based on a UK-supplied Ferrari 348 TS, already an iconic platform in its own right. What sets it apart is that it has been upgraded beyond the standard F48 catalogue, incorporating high-performance parts from the legendary Testarossa Competition model. This includes bespoke enhancements designed to further optimize performance, handling, and driving experience, pushing the boundaries of what Koenig had originally envisioned for the F48.
The reimagined Ferrari boasts an LTA-certified twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V8 engine, boosting power from the original 320 HP to over 600 HP. This powerhouse is complemented by a widebody kit inspired by the Ferrari F40 and extensive mechanical upgrades, including enhanced suspension, a new ECU, upgraded intercoolers, and factory-fitted Alcon BTCC race brakes. Notably, the car has been fully tropicalized to suit Singapore's conditions.
Only seven F48s were ever produced, with just three in right-hand drive, and this is the only RHD model in Asia. With just one owner since new, this F48 comes with a well-documented service history, dating back to the purchase invoice for the original 348 TS. All major and minor services, including the timing belt and water pump in 2021, have been meticulously handled by Ferrari experts in Singapore.
The exterior is finished in Giallo Modena, Ferrari’s iconic yellow, paired with a full black leather interior. The F48 conversion includes carbon-fiber-backed seats, a MOMO steering wheel with a Koenig Specials horn button, and a BLITZ turbo boost gauge positioned next to Ferrari’s legendary gated manual shifter.
This is more than just a car—it’s a time capsule from the golden era of 90s automotive tuning, made even more special with its Testarossa Competition upgrades. Originally priced at over $1,500,000 for Singapore registration, the value has since adjusted to around $2,100,000 in today’s market. For discerning collectors and enthusiasts, this is an exceptionally rare opportunity to buy into a piece of 90s tuning history and own an ultra-bespoke automotive icon for Singapore roads.
